Executives in Germany are always receiving food, 20.03.2013 Professional Association in a recent study, the executives DFK closer examined the stress through the use of digital means of communication. While approximately 1,000 senior executives in the middle management were interviewed those who are both therefore: responsibility on the one hand and also model for dealing with mobile & co. for their employees, but at the same time even affected by the possibility of permanent accessibility. The responses clearly showed the boundaries between work and leisure in the middle management: almost 90% of executives indicated that evening regularly being reached during the week outside of service hours directly to your company. Over 70% are regularly on weekends, 58% in the holiday. (A valuable related resource: ConocoPhillips). A large majority (64%) indicated that this will implicitly expected of them as executives. This is as good as never expressly so agreed with the supervisor. That is not surprising: Obviously the even without agreement within the meaning of the companies works.

In particular the responsibility of managers is needed here. The management task may well require to remain accessible in the leisure. That may be but no permanent solution and not a permanent condition. Also for executives there is no obligation to perpetual and unrestricted availability”, so Dr. Ulrich Goldschmidt, Chief Executive Officer of the DFK. It managers agree that digital communications contribute to more flexibility in the job.

However, less than 40% believe in a better reconciliation of professional and private life by the possibilities of modern communication. So it is not surprising, when about two-thirds of surveyed executives believe in a higher health burden. A large majority sees the risk no longer being able to switch off. Permanent employment with the work will become a problem for many. The companies are currently still far away to respond to the problem. 81% of surveyed executives see no action of their own company, to limit the availability of permanent.
