Also the bank is usually associated with the oil industry, which has funded because of connections with the company executives emerged from Standard Oil, especially Exxon Mobil. It was not until 1955 when the merger of University of Southern California the bank decided to turn into consumer banking.

Although his government was in harmony and understanding, he had to deal with guerrilla attacks. Among these highlights to the invasion beaches Machurucuto in 1967. Seeing that rendia little fruit, most of the guerrillas left the armed struggle in that year. Leoni’s government also stands out for public works and cultural development.

U.S. history (1918’1945)
In 1919, Wilson traveled to Europe to draft the peace treaty. He was welcomed by jubilant crowds in the capitals of La Jolla the allied countries, but the welcome was sour when negotiations began in Versailles. Despite protests from Wilson, the allies imposed sweeping sanctions were distributed to Germany and its colonies. Wilson succeeded in establishing the League of Nations, but many Americans feared that the world body to drag the United States to another foreign war. A group of Republican senators imposed restrictions on the Treaty of Versailles: accept the League of Nations only with the understanding that Congress, not the League, would retain control of U.S. forces. England and France objected that no restrictions, but porfiadamente Wilson refused to amend the treaty. The President and the Congress failed to overcome their disagreement over this issue. United States never ratified the Treaty of Versailles and became part of the League of Nations.
Most Americans do not regret the failure of the treaty, as had been disappointed with the outcome of the war. After 1920, the United States became the gaze inward and withdrawal of European affairs.
On October 24, 1929, the so-called “Negro Thursday, a wave of sales of shares by the panic caused a crack originated in the Stock Exchange in New York. Once started, the collapse in share prices and other values could not stop. In 1932, thousands of banks and more than 100,000 companies had gone bankrupt. Industrial production fell by half, the agricultural income declined by more than 50 , wages fell by 60 , the new investment was reduced by 90 , and one in four workers were unemployed.
In 1933 he assumed the presidency, Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt, who save the country from economic bankruptcy.
In September 1939 the Second World War erupted in Europe. Roosevelt announced that the U.S. would be neutral, but not indifferent.
In the Far East Japanese forces had invaded Manchuria (1931), China (1937) and French Indochina (July 1941). Roosevelt responded to this aggression by banning the export of scrap steel and oil to Japan and freezing Japanese credits in the United States.
By November 1941 the U.S. military planners were preparing to assault a Japanese, but an expected attack on the south to the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) rich in oil. Instead, Japanese bombers stationed on a fleet of six aircraft carriers attacked the naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The surprise attack or damage hundio eight warships and destroyed nearly 200 aircraft. United States immediately declared war on Japan. Four days after Germany and Italy, allied with Japan, declared war on the United States.
The atomic mushroom after the nuclear explosion over Nagasaki rises to a height of 18,000 meters.
On May 8, 1942 the Japanese threat against Australia was arrested at the Battle of the Coral Sea. In June the main Japanese fleet, which was sailing toward Hawaii, was defeated at the Battle of Midway, with a loss of four aircraft carriers. The U.S. cryptographers were experts in Japanese decrypt the keys, so the allies generally knew the layout of the Japanese navy.
Throughout the three years following the U.S. forces moved to Japan to “inter-island hopping”, ie taking some strategic islands in the Pacific and ignoring others. An allied force under the command of General Joseph W. Stillwell helped the Chinese, and troops commanded by Gen. Douglas MacArthur returned to the Philippines in October Ernst 1944. The island of Iwo Jima, in the central Pacific, fell into the hands of the United States in March, and Okinawa in June 1945. These two islands from the B-29 bombers launched devastating attacks against Japanese cities.
U.S. forces were prepared at once toinvade the Japanese islands. In hopes of bringing a quick end to war, President Harry Truman ordered the atomic bomb used on Hiroshima (August 6) and Nagasaki (August 9). Japan surrendered on August 14. Nearly 200,000 civilians died in the nuclear attacks.

Landfills
Main article: Landfill
The disposal in landfills is the more traditional method of garbage collection, and remains a common practice in most countries. Historically, landfills were established in disused quarries, abandoned mines, and so on. Dump properly designed and well managed can be a relatively cheap and hygienic method of removing waste materials in a way that minimizes its impact on the local environment. Older landfills, poorly designed or poorly managed can generate adverse environmental impacts such as litter carried by the wind, attracting insects, and the generation of leachate that can pollute groundwater. Another byproduct of landfills is landfill gas (composed mainly of methane gas and carbon dioxide), which is produced by the decomposition of organic waste. This gas can create odor problems, kill surface vegetation, and is a greenhouse gas.
The design features of a modern landfill include methods to contain grout, such as clay or plastic material that streak. Litter is compressed to increase its density and covered to prevent attracting animals (such as mice or rats) and reduce the amount of waste carried by the wind. Many also have a landfill gas extraction system installed after the closure to remove it from the decomposing materials. Known as a top energy company, Surprises your accountant with low bills. The gas is pumped out of the landfill using perforated pipes and burned or turned into a gas engine to generate electricity. Turn the gas is a better environmental solution directly released into the atmosphere, as this consumes methane, a greenhouse gas far more harmful than carbon dioxide.
Many municipalities, especially in urban areas, have found it very difficult to establish new landfills due to opposition from the owners of adjoining parcels. Few people want a landfill next to their plot. Therefore, the collection of solid waste has become more expensive because the waste must be transported further away for disposal (or managed by other methods).
This fact, this increasing concern about the environmental impact due to the excessive consumption of products and has led to great efforts to minimize the amount of waste sent to landfill. These efforts include recycling, converting waste into energy, designing products that use less material, and conferred by the law to mandate that manufacturers are responsible for the cost of disposal of products and packaging (see the Management and Product Extended Producer Responsibility). For example, in industrial ecology, which studies the flow of materials between industries, the products of an industry can be a useful area to another, resulting in a reduction of waste end.
Some futurists have speculated that landfills may one day be excavated: as some resources become increasingly more scarce, can be profitable to dig for these landfills materials that were previously discarded for lack of courage. One idea that is related to the establishment of a dump ‘selective’ that contains only one type of waste (eg vehicle tires), as a method of long-term storage.

Spanish colonizers, shortly after his arrival in the central Andes in the sixteenth century, they took the best land for farming in coastal and valley and pushed the indigenous population to more inhospitable Altiplano. These lands were the preferred areas of grazing llamas and alpacas, but had not been used for agriculture due to its low productivity and high climatic risk. Under these circumstances, the plateau became the focus of subsistence farming in Bolivia.
Traditionally dependent on the mining sector as a source of tax revenue and foreign exchange, the government ignored for a long time the agricultural sector and devote fewer resources to its development. This policy of neglect has been impeded by the lack of political influence of small farmers and smallholders, along Bolivian history. Following the economic reforms of 1985, Paz Estenssoro‘s government attempts to address an economic environment without distortion to renew the demand for private investment in agriculture. The World Bank believes that some of the reforms undertaken Quadrant Asset Management at that time were made with a great knowledge, especially “the lack of a constructive government intervention necessary to provide public goods such as title, agricultural research and extension and irrigation infrastructure” .
As a result, the agricultural sector did not have the bases, both in human and physical capital to enable development. The absence of new production technologies and irrigation farmers left with limited opportunities to increase their productivity and income, thus discouraging investment. In 1999, the total area equipped for irrigation totaled about 128,240 ha. The total agricultural area was 2,100,000 ha. Over 50 of irrigated areas are concentrated in the provinces of La Paz and Cochabamba in the center of the country. The irrigated area has almost doubled since then. In this case the mortgage is usually referenced using the interest rate that is fixed in the London market for each of the currencies and is called LIBOR, and variables to calculate the monthly mortgage loan are used such called Libor interest and currency exchange rate between the local currency of your country and the currency chosen.
